Well, that's certainly different.

I think it goes hand in hand with the need for some people to show their love for their favorite musician or group and that goes beyond the mere musical aspect, groups like The Beatles and Kiss have certain elements attached to them that can be considered icons and that can be exploited commercially, because there will be fans willing to pay for that memorabilia or collectible and there will even be people who are not fans but will still pay for the simple fact of having something that is popular and follow the trend.

Thats cool people are digging it, though for me personally I've never understood the appeal of action figures based on musicians, of course I've never been a big concert goer either so maybe thats why.

It's not just you, I never cared for figures based on musicians myself and I'm an old metal head. The only one I own is the Trooper Ediie figure and that was a gift. As for the figure itself it seems overpriced especially with how the figure looks.

I'm getting this

I really hope we see more figures from bands from Super7 , I'd love a Slayer Minotaur, Agnostic Front Eliminator and Motorhead Warpig, I mean I'd buy them all no question, Some Maiden Eddie's would be awesome ... I hope this is a new thing

only bother is the damn price tag

Ok, this is unexpected but cool as can be. I'm really loving the Ultimates line from Super7, King Diamond is an instant pre-order for me, hopefully this will be the first of many music inspired figures in the Ultimates line.

Ha!, I've never expected them to make an Ultimate figure based on this guy, it looks good, a little overpriced like anything S7's, but it looks good, I'm not a big fan but it would be great to see figures based on musicians again. Surely the next one to have a figure will be Thomas Forge (Papa Emerithus, Cardinal Copia or whatever his character is called now) from the band Ghost since he also had a ReAction figure.
