Super7 has launched their newest crowdsource campaign for their newly announced G.I. Joe 3.75" scale ReAction Cobra Mothership. The cost of this one is $495 and it will need 4k backers by Monday, December 11th, 2023 at 11:59 PM in order to move forward.

Now’s your chance to join the Cobra ranks with this crowdfund vehicle inspired by the opening sequence of the animated series, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. Custom built to scale with 3.75” ReAction Figures as well as vintage G.I. Joe O-Ring Figures, the Cobra Mothership is a massive 32” in diameter and comes with three vertical Thruster display stands to display your ship as it begins to take flight.

Explore the forbidding exterior of the ship and you’ll find multiple hidden defense turrets, 16 light-up thrusters on the underside of the ship, and a posterior ramp that lowers to deploy your army of Cobra allies. Remove the five exterior panels on the top of the ship to reveal the aircraft’s awesome interior which includes a Command Center with a rotating Giant Globe, an armory to store the arsenal of included weapon accessories, a prison cell with functional handcuffs to keep captives secure, explosives storage on either side of the posterior ramp (to drop explosives on unsuspecting Joes below!), and more!

Since every vehicle needs a crew, the Cobra Mothership will also come with an exclusive Cobra Viper Gunner ReAction Figure and an exclusive Cobra Viper Gunner O-Ring Figure!

Help Cobra in their attempt to gain world domination by funding this mighty vehicle and receive the largest ship in the Cobra fleet for the first time at 3.75” scale.

Early Funding
Early Bird Backers will receive 2 Functional, Soft Vinyl Cobra Parachutes
If we reach our base goal of 4,000 backers by 11:59 PM PT on October 22nd, everyone that ordered by this date will receive two Cobra Escape Parachutes in addition to the Cobra Mothership. Perfect for use with any figure (and even a certain Commander), the soft goods parachutes will be fully functional!

Figure listings popped up over the weekend from the Target system for Super7's first wave of recently announced G.I. Joe O-ring 4" figures. The figures coming that were listed include the following:G.I. Joe Snake Eyes Comic O-Ring - 087-26-2539G.I. Joe Duke Cartoon O-Ring - 087-26-2825G.I. Joe Ramar Cartoon O-Ring - 087-26-0778G.I. Joe Cover Girl Blonde Cartoon O-Ring - 087-26-9142

For those now familiar, Ramar was a Cobra slave in the first G.I. Joe M.A.S.S. Device cartoon mini-series voiced by non-other than Optimus Prime himself Peter Cullen.

I dont think Neca's 7inch figures have been $30 for a while now.

Guess that tells you the last time I bought a NECA figure LOL. Still, they're less than Super 7 Ultimates, and (in my opinion) look way better.

You are correct from my observation. Most Neca stuff is at least $35+, and the fact that it hardly ever, if at all, gets marked down makes it difficult to get them for less than that outside of maybe ebay. Still better than $55 though, which I think was the point of the original comment, I believe.

I did not realize this was a crowd funding campaign. I was under the impression that this was something that Super7 was just going to release. That said, I havent paid much attention to it since I dont really collect the O ring or 3.75 inch Joes. I know a lot of people still like small scale stuff, bit Im not one of them.

There are quite a few Ultimates that I would be interested in, but yeah at the $55 a pop price point, that's gonna be a no from me. Especially when you got companies like NECA who can make a far more detailed and realistic looking 7" figure at $30/ea. Sorry but S7's Star Trek and Power Rangers (for example) look way too cartoony.

Sad story. Also, I'm still unsure if the future o-ring figures will be about the same price point as the ReAction figures.

I thought Super7's Lady Jaye looked great and cartoon accurate... until I got it home. The figure's heads look nothing as advertised. Unfortunately, there's a lot that needs to be reevaluated there.

Super 7 really needs to evaluate their pricing. This was seen as "well thats not gonna be funded" almost instantly and unanimously.

You cant make SO many largely niche figures and sell them for 55 USD each; including Snarf FFS or ask 100 dollars more than the frigging HasLab HISS tank for this ship and expect success. EE just cleared.out wave 1 of GI Joe Ultimates for the price of a single figure. BBTS had that huge Ultimates sale -and it will happen again I am sure.

I dont know their books and overhead but I know if I am a retailer trying to clear out your products I throttle my future orders.

Well said. Nothing further to add

Not really surprised by this but, sorry to the people who wanted it to happen.
