I managed to snap some images of my new
Fresh Moneky Fictions Joefest 2024 Exclusive "Blood Prince Dracula" and "Omen of Doom Forgotten King" figures I purchased this weekend during
JoeFest. I believe these are the first two actual figures in the
1/12 Operation: Monster Force to see actual release so far. Wave 1 is slated to start shipping out to folks this August.
These two are translucent plastic variants of
Count Dracula and
Forgotten King from wave 1. For those who weren't able to attend JoeFest this weekend and would like to add these to your collection, a limited number should be made available at our sponsor

Just some initial thoughts on these two. The overall construction on these figures seems to be pretty well done. I didn't feel like I needed to worry about the figures breaking as I was moving the joints around. I didn't even need a hair dryer to loosen them. The joints also seem to be fairly tight. At least out of the package I didn't have any problems with loose joints.
Articulation is solid overall with things like double-jointed knees and elbows, ankle pivot and butterfly joints at the shoulders. Both of these figures wear shirts with coats which are done as one piece separate from the figure itself but not removable. I can't tell what kind of ab joint the figures have but with the shirts on. Whatever the joint in that area is, it's useless . The hair on the Dracula figure is a fairly hard plastic so you don't get much back head movement on that one.
The packaging on these exclusives is basic. They come in ziplock type bags with a cardboard header stapled on the top. The accessories come in smaller ziplock type bags that are then placed in the larger bag with the figure. See images below to see what accessories come with each figure. The regular figures in this line will come in nicer packaging. They will be a book like box with artwork that has the front flap opens with a little comic on one side and the figure window display on the other side. You can see images of the regular packaging

Yeah, this could be one of those lines BBTS uses to recoup on all the other losses they incur from every other line and the fact that AliExpress is eating everybody's imported lunch nowadays. But if you're going to raise prices, this is the line to do it. They're so dang good!
While I get it, watching Big Bad creep the price up on things they've already had on pre-order for a lower price is not a joyful thing. Makes me glad I had orders in earlier at the original SRP, but it's not a positive look for the line.

Doctor Caligari looks interesting... I wonder when we will see wave 2 of the Crimson Moon figures...???
