I'mreallyhappy to hear that you've seen an improvement, and sorry to hear that fans have felt left in the dark in the past. This is definitely something I've personally been trying to help Spero with. Full disclosure...I'm not hired or contracted by Spero at all and, thus far, haven't received any free items. I have a crap ton of AWOK figs and accessories all paid for by yours truly. But I did, as a fan, step in to help with communication and sort of "public relations" work for this latest campaign because I really, really want to help more current and future toy collectors be aware of what the line has to offer. I think they're awesome toys. And selfishly, I want to see this line I love grow in popularity. So Spero's communication game still needs plenty of work, but we're definitely in collaboration to try to improve things. Also happy to see the Brutox / Oxidus update covered here. There was a little bit of a lore / figure naming hiccup, and even when I tried to clarify it with the latest Kickstarter update, I flubbed. @toynewmanis on point. The character in the first picture with the longer hair and tied ponytails isLord Oxidus, head of House Bovidicius. The alt head in progress, which you have in the top right corner of thesecond pic and featured in the fourth pic (that I didn't think was public btw...sleuthy!)isBrutox, and Oxyden army builder. Throughout the campaign, we made a mistake and have been referring to the figure as Brutox. Either way, dope looking, right? I'm Pilipino, and especially hyped cuz these two characters totally remind me of the kalabaw (carabao), a species of water buffalo unique to my family's homeland. The horns aren't exactly there, and this is more of a hybrid maybe of the ones in India or Cambodia. The beauty of AWOK's sci-fi story conceit...it doesn't matter. Heh.

I have a number of these and think the figures are indeed fantastic. The colors and paints are dynamic ( I wish a certain Larval Hedgens would up their paint game like this!) and the articulation is insane. AWOK has got a good thing going so they don't wanna blow it, new on the scene like this, by staying radio silent so much that backers start thinking they've been ripped off. So it only helps them to communicate.

Great things in the future I see! Nice line up....but of course you need to tell them....they GOTTA do a BAT ANIMAL WARRIOR! Now that I'm down for right now.

Keep up the good work!!

Well to update, I can now happily report that they have indeed stepped up their communication game. Think I've received around 4 progress updates from them since April. Its good to see that progress.

I think I'm going to start dipping my toe into this line a little bit. Not planning on going wild with it, but the sculpts seem pretty decent. Picked up a weapons pack not too long ago and was pretty impressed with it.

They're (Spero) really gonna need to step their game in communication with backers, and delivery on products. A lot of people thought they had been scammed on the first wave. Not a good look for a company just starting out. I myself just received a figure they said was going to be shipped 11 months ago. I understand, like many others who deal with new companies and kickstarter projects, that things just don't always go as planned. But when your backers are screaming for updates and getting zilch for responses, it doesn't make for good relations.

As for the figures themselves, they're quite good; excellent, and Hasbo marvel legends could learn a thing or two from them on paint apps. The articulation is outstanding and the weapons accessories are right up there with Mythic Legions. I can't say I'm going to pick up any further waves but I haven't ruled it out totally.
