Burt Ward To Appear On 'Crisis On Infinite Earths' Crossover

by Outsiders
July 20, 2019
The executive producer of Batwoman, Caroline Dries announced during the Batwoman panel that Burt Ward, the co-star of the Batman TV series from the ’60s, will be appearing on the show as part of the five-episode crossover event.

“We’re currently working on the crossover,” said Dries. “We’ve got a ton, a ton, a ton of characters coming into the five-part event.”

Burt Ward is another big name being added to the crossover as we reported yesterday that both Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh will be slipping on the tights to portray the Man of Steel, Superman in the CW's Crisis On Infinite Earths annual crossover event.

I wonder if with this casting they'll do some sort of nod or homage to Adam West.

Maybe they will do something like, he died fighting as Batman years ago.

I was really hoping that she could show up as maybe a Kingdom come version or something like that.

I didn't think about it, but that would have been pretty cool.

Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed discussions with DC and Warner Bros. about a Lynda Carter return, but said he did not think that would happen. However, in a discussion with reporters after the session, he complained mildly about rumors spawned by illegitimate outlet Cosmic Book News when it announced that Carter as Wonder Woman and Tom Wellings Superman were definitely cast for Season 8.

I dont ever comment on casting, but it always vexes me if an illegitimate outlet just makes up stuff, he said.
