I liked the first season but even back then I wasn't blown away by the series. Eventually as the series went on, things that I didn't care for started becoming more apparent. I got tired of the so so metahuman of the week, filler episodes, Barry always needing a pep talk in order to beat his foe, everyone and their mother getting superpowers and when they were speed powers they were immediately faster than Barry. The overarching plot of the season would be: newSpeedster villain shows up, they are of course faster than Barry, Barry strives to become faster and beat his foe, gets a pep talk with something like "Run, Barry, Run" rinse and repeat next season. Then they introduced a non speedster villain Thinker or something I got bored after that, finished the season haven't seen the series since then.
