'The Suicide Squad' Adds Sylvester Stallone To Its Lineup

by Outsiders
November 14, 2020
Writer and director James Gunn posted an Instagram announcing that Sylvester Stallone has joined the second Suicide Squad.

Some of the original cast will not be returning for the sequel. Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney are back as Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang, as are Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg). New supervillians attached are Nathan Fillion (T.D.K.), Idris Elba (Bloodsport), and John Cena (Peacemaker). There is some speculation that Stallone will be the voice of King Shark.

The Suicide Squad is set to open in theaters August 6th, 2021.

Interesting.

You know, some dive bars used to hire washed-up boxers to come in and basically hang-out. Then they'd invariably hang a sign outside saying something like "Come in and Have a Drink With the Champ!"

Suicide Squad II, the dive bar of superhero movies!

Rambo VS Bloodsport!!!!!

That's the ticket!!!! =^)

You got to love Sly. The original; "THE ROCK"

As I said before...I Can't wait to see, Idris Elba take on Bloodsport.

Such a gifted actor

I'm leaning towards small part/cameo. I don't think he would do a good job voicing King Shark but that's just me. Having watched the latest Rambo movie recently, I want to say please retire the character already.

Doesn't seem very logical that Stallone would be voicing King Shark, which would mean that Steve Agee would only be doing MOCAP. Pretty much anyone could do that.I'm guessing Stallone's just got a small role or cameo like he had in Guardians 2.

I won't mind him showing up as Rambo. The Suicide Squad's escapade will be the best place for him to strap and fire his machine guns. hell he might even rescue them! Here comes Rambo out of the blue!!!

Damn, this is exciting, I wonder what role he's playing, it's obviously small. Could he be rumored Starros human construct or something or? Really Curious. I can also see him as someone related to task force x maybe someone from Checkmate or even General Wade Eiling ?
