'Amazon's The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power' Cast Of Characters & First-Look Images

Vanity Fair was provided with an inside look at Amazon�s upcoming series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Director J.A. Bayona and Showrunners Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne explain the trouble they had with getting the show, up and running, the changes they had to make to the storylines. Among the feature, Vanity Fair included the casting of some of the new and original characters, including first-look images.

Morfydd Clark plays a young Galadriel.
Charlie Vickers plays a new human character, Halbrand.
Owain Arthur is the dwarf Prince Durin IV, of Khazad-dum.
Sophia Nomvete plays Princess Disa.
Ismael Cruz Cordova plays a new Elf character named Arondir.
Nazanin Boniadi plays the human lover Bronwyn to Ismael Cruz Cordova's Arondir.
Robert Aramayo plays Elrond.
Megan Richards and Markella Kavenagh are Harfoots, hobbit-type characters.
Lenny Henry plays a Harfoot Elder.
Charles Edwards as the Elven smith Celebrimbor, with Maxim Baldry as Aragorn�s ancestor Isildur.

My reason for instantly disliking this is because it's based on The Silmarillion, which I didn't like at all. Really wish I never bothered reading it actually.

Amazon has released a quick teaser via Instagram revealing that Amazon Studios will drop a teaser trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power during Super Bowl LVI, this Sunday, February 13th. The series doesn't drop until September 2nd on Prime Video.

Prime Video released a wide selection of posters for the 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' series. The new series is set to premiere on Friday, September 2th, with new episodes available weekly.
