The CW Cancels 'Naomi' After One Season

by Outsiders
May 12, 2022
Deadline is reporting that The CW's superhero drama Naomi won't be back for a second season.

The series saw the season finale that aired last Tuesday turn into the series finale after The CW decided to pull the plug. Sources claim that the ARRAY Filmworks and Warner Bros TV produced show is talking to other outlets about continuing Naomi’s tale on streaming or higher up the dial.

Naomi is the third DC series cut by The CW following the cancellation of Batwoman and Legends Of Tomorrow.

CW has had to fight the bad press of catering to certain sects and has raised the ire of "fanboys." Folks made up their minds about the show based on gatekeeping forums of various kinds that had lumped the show in with the things they didn't like.

And it was a good show for what it was. I hope it will find life again via streaming and be able to be what it could have been.

Words that don't mean what people think they do are being used as weapons to kill shows. This is why we can't have anything nice in the fandom.

Bout time CW does something that makes sense. Sad thing is with all the shows that have been cancelled it'll just give them more time to concentrate on tanking Superman & Lois.

The really sad thing is it wasn't that bad a show, but the history of terrible shows like Batwoman and Supergirl really had this show fighting for it's life before it even began.

To the surprise of no one. The show lost nearly 50% viewership

Dang shame...not a bad show and it's a shame since other shows were allowed to flounder for longer.

Hopefully it'll find life on Netflix of something. Shows like this deserve a fair chance to develop.
