Director James Mangold is looking for another directing project and he may have found it with Swamp Thing.
The project is in the early development stages and a script hasn't even been written but Mangold is a huge Swamp Thing fan, and DC loves the idea that Mangold wants to do it and has made him an offer. DC Studio's co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran announced a Swamp Thing movie but didn't make any director announcements on Tuesday. Today, Mangold tweeted out a photo from the Swamp Thing comic book which Gunn then re-tweeted.
Swamp Thing movie would be way down the road as Mangold will be helming the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown starring Timothée Chalamet after Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
Mangold is credited with executive producing, co-writing, and directing Logan, the third Wolverine movie starring Hugh Jackman.
