Shown below via geektyrant is a look at the new Masters of the Universe: Revolution Prequel Comic Series Issue 1 from Dark Horse Comics. Masters of the Universe: Revolution #1 (of 4) arrives in comic shops on May 15, 2024. It is now available for pre-order at your local comic shop for $3.99.

The best thing about Revolution for me is the voice cast. Melissa Benoist and Gates McFadden are significant upgrades over Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alicia Silverstone; Chris Wood has improved significantly since the first season; Keith David, Meg Foster, and John DeLancie are stellar additions; Deidrich Bader, Griffin Newman, Liam Cunningham, Lena Headey, and Mark Hamill are as fantastic as ever; and William Shatner really shines. I haven't liked him in anything this much since Star Trek IV. I think some of the writing, particularly in the episodes that Kevin Smith himself wrote, leaves a lot to be desired, but that is a group of actors that could carry pretty much anything.

I didn't finished yet but so far I liked. I'm on the episode that started with Skeletor and Hordak fighting...???

Really enjoyed Revolution. It was cleaner and tighter than Revelations, and frankly a lot more fun. I hope we get to see another season.

Masters Of The Universe Revolution writer and producer Kevin Smith recently took to his podcast Fatman Beyond to update fans about the series and if we should expect to see more episodes.During the podcast Kevin confirmed that Revolution is only 5 episodes. It's not 10 episodes broken up into two parts like was done with Revelation. He explained that the folks at Netflix told him that their algorithm gather up viewing data from Revelation and showed the series would perform much better if it was only 4 episodes, which apparently was accurate. Smith went on to say that the response for Revolution has been so positive and it was like night and day from the response he had gotten from fans for Revelation. Now they are waiting to see if the response is good enough to warrant another season. He also indicated the more people who watch it or even when people watch it multiple times, the better the chance of the series getting another season.During the Podcast Smith also said he would never want to do a Star Wars movie and that he would not be the right guy to take on doing a relaunch ThunderCats series, mainly because he knows nothing about that franchise. He talked about being a big fan of MOTU as a kid but never really watched other 80s cartoons like ThunderCats or Transformers.Besides being a fan of MOTU, he also credits the success of this season to fellow producers Ted Biaselli and Robert David. Ted was the one who really fought to make this series happen and wanted the characters to be treated like Shakesspear, in other words treat the characters seriously. So just to reiterate, another season of Masters of the Universe at this point is not guaranteed, however because the response to Revolution has been so positive it seems like more episodes are likely. Revolution was in the Netflix Top 10 longer than Revelation was which is a good sign, however again he reiterated that if people want a season 3 they should keep watching and supporting the current season.Other interesting tid-bits of information from the podcast was that they talked about how it takes about 2 years to put a season together. There currently no plans for a Christmas Special right now.You can listen to the entire podcast below.

Better than revalation. Would made a couple tweaks to the ending personally. I'm hoping next is Restoration. There are three action figures from that last episode they better freaking do though.

I thought so, too. Sarah Michelle Gellar's line reading was very flat, but Teela's been recast, and from what I've heard in the trailers Melissa Benoist seems to understand how voice acting works.

Yeah I've never been a Sara Michelle Gellar fan to begin with.
