Assuming they don't kill him off, I figure decent odds he'll show up in the Justice League and maybe even a sequel.

So does this mean Blue Beetle was the first movie in the new DCU? Or is this like the current Batman series, just some arbitrary side thing?

Good question... It just seems as Xolo Mariduea played the character in the movie and now he is doing the voice of the character for the animated series. Anything else?

As reported by Deadline and referenced by Hablemos de Cine, Xolo Mariduea, known for his role in Cobra Kai, is confirmed to return as Blue Beetle in an animated series produced by DC Studios. This series will further explore the narrative of Jaime Reyes, the DC Comics superhero portrayed by Mariduea in the 2023 film.

Theres only one Blue Beetle, Mariduea said in an interview with Hablemos de Cine about voicing the Latino superhero in the upcoming animated series. Im so excited to get to continue the story of Jaime is an honor and I just cant wait to see where the heck he goes. Its still so early but I just know its about to be the next craziest anime.
