As reported by Deadline, Brian Tee will headline the voice cast for Adult Swim's Get Jiro!, a television series inspired by the New York Times bestselling graphic novels published by DC/Vertigo, created by writers Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose, featuring illustrations by Langdon Foss and Al Garza.
The half-hour animated series is set in a not-too-distant future L.A. where master chefs rule the town and people kill for a seat at the best restaurants. A mysterious sushi master named Jiro enters a bloody culinary war and begins crafting his revenge recipe.
Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka developed the television series Get Jiro! Warner Bros Animation for Adult Swim handled production. The project was officially ordered as a series in June.
