Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft: Her legend begins. The new animated series from Legendary Television & Powerhouse Animation, set after the events of the Tomb Raider Survivor Trilogy video games, is coming to Netflix on October 10.

The 8 episode animated series TOMB RAIDER: THE LEGEND OF LARA CROFT picks up after the events of the highly successful Tomb Raider video game Survivor trilogy (Tomb Raider; Rise of the Tomb Raider; Shadow of the Tomb Raider), and will chart the globetrotting heroines next chapter as the iconic adventurer. More than 25 years after her first appearance, Lara Croft (voiced by Hayley Atwell) continues to explore ancient mysteries and uncover lost truths across breathtaking and dangerous destinations.

Netflix released the teaser trailer for TOMB RAIDER: THE LEGEND OF LARA CROFT, premiering globally on October 10, 2024.

The animated series TOMB RAIDER: THE LEGEND OF LARA CROFT picks up after the events of the highly successful Tomb Raider video game Survivor trilogy (Tomb Raider; Rise of the Tomb Raider; Shadow of the Tomb Raider), and will chart the globetrotting heroine's next chapter as the iconic adventurer. More than 25 years after her first appearance, Lara Croft (voiced by Hayley Atwell) continues to explore ancient mysteries and uncover lost truths across breathtaking and dangerous destinations.

Following the events of the Survivor series, Lara Croft has abandoned her friends to embark on increasingly more perilous solo adventures. But she must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with an uncanny personal connection. Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she will be forced to confront her true self, and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become.

The all-new animated Netflix series features the voices of Hayley Atwell (Lara Croft), Allen Maldonado (Zip), Earl Baylon (reprising his role as Jonah from Tomb Raider video games).

Ha opposite here, the fact it's animated actually interests me, good on them not trying another live action thing, since the most recent one is a thing nobody saw and nobody remembered.

My main issue with the second reboot trilogy was whiny/confused Lara who was far cry from her more cynical bad ass over confident version from previous iterations, this at first glance does seem like it leans into that bad assery type more than games did, which is definitely a plus, and might serve as long awaited character evolution for this version albeit too late.

New Lara Croft figure series capturing all her game looks from 90s to modern day would be pretty good, but it seem like rights holder have very passive attitude towards Lara action figures and merch in general.

Idk man I like the art style. Also its a continuation of the modern game series so doing live action wouldnt really work. I liked those games (even moreso than the old ones) so Ill give it a watch ?

Netflix tried making live-action series from comics and video games and they haven't had any luck with them.
