The Lego Group & Universal Pictures Set To Produce Three Live-Action Films

The Lego Group, in collaboration with Universal Pictures, is set to produce three live-action films, directed by Jake Kasdan, Patty Jenkins, and Joe Cornish.

Details regarding the plots of these three untitled films remain confidential. Jill Wilfert and Ryan Christians from The Lego Group will serve as producers for all three projects, while Universal’s Executive Vice President of Production Development, Matt Reilly, along with Director of Production Development, Jacqueline Garell, will supervise the initiatives on behalf of the studio.

Kasdan will direct a screenplay penned by Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul, which is based on an original concept and a prior draft by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows. He will also produce the film alongside Melvin Mar through their production entity, Detective Agency.

Jenkins is working on her Lego project from a script she co-wrote with former DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns, and she will produce the film through her company, Wicious Pictures.

Cornish is revising a screenplay for his Lego film, which was initially drafted by Heather Anne Campbell, based on a treatment by Simon Rich.
