Fear The Walking Dead alum Garret Dillahunt has been tapped to play modern cowboy William Macon, a self-righteous, conspiracy-minded man who masks his ruthless ambition behind a charming and calculated facade in Lanterns, HBO’s drama series based on the Green Lantern DC comic.
The series centers on recruit John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and the legendary Lantern Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic officers who become entangled in a sinister, Earth-centric mystery while probing a murder in the heart of America.
The series, created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King, consists of eight episodes titled Lanterns. HBO produces with Warner Bros Television and DC Studios. Mundy acts as the showrunner, while Lindelof and King contribute as co-writers and executive producers. The initial two episodes are directed by James Hawes, who also serves as an executive producer.
