I'd definitely pick up if they did MK9 figs. Those were my favorite designs... although some from the movie look really cool too!

Well theres alot of interesting polaritybetween these 2 movies. First movie was a pg 13 movie trying to attract teenagers to a movie based on a game series that they were technically not supposed to play or have and wasa major factor in the creation of the video game ratings board due to such violence. This new movie was trying very very hard to appease those now older fans by upping the gore factor and not advertising it to kids. The ironic part is the original movie is still the better overall experience and much more accurate to the source material. However the best experiencefor bothis the new animated film which has a sequel coming out in august.
I've said it before but why do toy companies wait to make products based on a movie/TV series and it's already coming out on Blu-Ray, etc.?

Weird they didnt go for the original movies. I m betting that they have a deal with WB to promote their Netherrealm studio based licenses. Its why they ve beendoing Injustice and MK stuff. WB most likely asked them to do some figures since their lines are popular.

Will be watching

Interesting, this doesn't really seem like a move I would have expected from Storm, they don't usually get on the bandwagons with things like contemporary movie figures. I'm sure they would make these look great though.
If ever the Scorpion figure looks great, I think I'll only buy that one, my first Hiroyuki Sanada figure.
