Cool Collecting Spotlight - jsmooth's Gobots Collection

What's the point of building an awesome collection unless you can show it off to everyone? Because of that we've launched what we hope will become a weekly segment here on Toy News International where we spotlight you the reader and that cool collections you've put your time, space, dedication and love into building up.

For this week's edition we are spotlighting jsmooth who is back with a look at their Gobots Collection. Here is how they describe the collection:

Does anyone collect Gobots? I know that they do not measure up to the Transformers, but back in the day when I was a kid, sometimes you couldn't get a Transformer but you could get your parents to get you a Gobot. Here is my collection.

All of my Gobots are AFA graded. They are mostly 85s but there are some 80s, and one or two 75+s. The Command Center is an 80 as is the Thruster.

My favorites were Leader-1, Bad Boy, Jeeper-Creeper and Creepy.

I always wanted Psycho but never got any of the bigger Gobots. Guess when faced with the choice of a bigger Gobot or a Transformer that I always went with the later.

My favorites were Leader-1, Cy-kill, and of course Turbo...but after watching the cartoon series you find out that one of the coolest and baddest Gobots around is..ZERO!!! He tries to take over the Renegades and fights Cy-Kill and beats him!Q!!!

My goal is not to get all the Gobots in the collection but to have all the ones that I love and all the ones that were so cool on the show...to me that is a complete collection!

Psycho was also one of my favorites!

That Psycho was pulled from a case of Psychos. I happened to find a guy who had one and bought it off him and then got it graded!!!

I had more Gobots than transformers as kid. That Pshycho brings back memories.

I have a few Gobots, never near as many as Transformers but they were still okay. I have them on the shelf with Rock Lords, Votoms and a Dougram. One of them is a Burger King toy I believe.
