You know what is coming after the cartoon line? The Archie comics TMNT ADVENTURES!!!! I guarantee it. The IDW would be DOOOPE. But before that, those Archie characters are too lucrative to pass up. The art is AMAZING. Also, they would allbe repaints of the cartoon line with new head sculpts. Body swaps. Etc. A few completely new sculpted figs peppered in. The deco will most likely look just like the cartoon so those collectors keep buying. BANK!The first 11 volumes are GOLD. Comixology unlimited. The rest of the volumes you have to payon IDW.
A line based on the comics designs would be sweet, I feel it is untapped potential.

Give me a 1/12th line. I've gone farther to collect the Neca/Target TMNTs than I ever thought I would for ANY line, but if Playmates did another 6" line, I'd drop Neca in an instant.

I think they actually thought Rise of the BS couldbe a huge seller for the youngster kid market. Neca and Super7 wereto be for the older audience. Which makes them totally separate markets. So why not make more money on top of everything and not do a lick of work? Problem was,Rise did terribly, as most all TMNT fans predicted. Leaving Playmates to sit around like...okay we're done with that, we can't do the same #$##, so we have no market to make TMNT stuff unless we compete with NECA and Super7. Which like SPIDERS said is a bad idea. They could try again to appeal to the younger market with a new show gimmick. But that's way harder than it sounds. TMNT 1988 "Origins style" would be a competitor to the adult market as well. So the only option seems to bejust sitting around until Neca and Super7 slowdown. Risecould have been successful. Even if it was made for a much younger audience than the 2012 series. But they changed too much...okay not the place for a Rise diatribe lol.

I don't know how much of the vintage remakes I actually want..... I'm thinking TMNT 1988 "MOTU ORIGINS STYLE" action figures is better. More articulation and slightvariations. Thats a huge market waiting to be tapped. They will wait till NECA and SUPER7 gets close to the end of their runs, then, BAM!
Oh and I pre-ordered this, yes, go turtles XD

Just two bad this dumpster fire of a year has seen production of . . . everything delayed.

Not a bad set for what it is and for the price can't really complain too much.
Does anyone remember these unreleased TMNT figures from playmates? I really liked these sculpts, wish Playmates would do them with at least slightly better articulation like ankle rockers
