It's
Wednesday and you know what that means...
ToyFarce review!
This week, we're having a look at the
Frankenstein's Monster from the
NECA Universal Monsters line, the black and white version! I've always loved those old classic movies, so when NECA announced they were going to dive into that line, I was ecstatic. Then, they announced they would do
black and white AND
colored versions of them, and I was torn! Shoud I get them in
black and white, or should i get the
colored versions... the movies were in
black and white, so it would make sense to get those... but the
colored ones look great too...
OH, THE DILEMMA! (First world problems, am i right?).

I decided to go with the
black and white ones, and so far they have announced only the
Mummy in black and white... There's also an
accessory pack for it, but that is only
colored...
Oh well.
The
Frankenstein monster, as portrayed by
Boris Karloff with the iconic make-up and bolts in his neck, is a fantastic looking figure. He comes with
2 extra heads,
4 extra hands, a
chain and a couple of
flowers.
Let's switch to
black and white photos!

Articulation-wise, it's the usual
NECA offering. The big jacket is rubbery and does hinder a bit of movement, but then again, that is one character that is supposed to be stiff. Don't expect a lot of
Spider-man poses with this one (
Oh, that would have been super funny actually...)

So far, the
Werewolf (colored) and the
Mummy (both colored AND black and white) are the only other 2 officially announced, and
Dracula was teased. An
accessory pack for the Mummy, complete with
Sarcophagus and
chest is also available for pre-order. Now, if someone could just tease the
Phantom of the Opera and the
Creature from the Black Lagoon...
