Last week, a
tier ranking list appeared from out of nowhere, and suddenly took the
toy community by storm! A
Youtuber made a (
completely subjective) tier list of the
Best and Worst Action figure "influencers", (
based on his personal, own opinion), and the toy crowd went wild! "
What? How dare you put this person before that person?", "
Let me show you how you are wrong, and how my opinion is actually right!"... It didn't take long before others wanted the same kind of attention, and more
Tier lists started to pop up!
"Best and Worst Action Figure "Influencers" - The list that started it all...
Tier rankings, or
Tier lists, are not really a new thing. People have been ranking things for a while using
TierMaker, from
Tier ranking of Breakfast cereals,
Best and Worst Pokemon, to
Best Mezco Gomez Tier list (
Hi, Fabster!). More and more streamers/Youtubers started to do
Tier lists in their videos. And now, we have a
Tier list video about the
people who make Tier list videos too.
What a time to be alive! At time of writing, the video has 21,000+ views and about 1000 comments.
The Definitive Best and Worst Toy lines
Another
Youtuber, who will remain anonymous, saw the
engagement that that video generated and decided to make his own
Tier list on his channel:
The Definitive Best and Worst Toy lines! In that video, he would rank most of today's popular toy lines, and expected to get
tons of views, likes, and comments, just like the other videos did. What he did not expect was that it would start a
civil war in the comments. Have you ever seen the live chat during a
Hasbro Pulse live stream?
Worst.
(
We, at ToyFarce, feel that it's good to remember that those lists are purely subjective and reflect only the opinion of the person who made said list. If one does not agree with the ranking, and would have done it differently, it's fine, but no one is actually wrong. Everybody has their own rankings.)
What do you think about the
Tier list? Would you have done anything differently? Let us know in the comments!

Obviously, ToyFarce was not mentioned because it would be unfair to the other participants, right?...
