ToyFarce News: Collector Challenges Himself With 'Dry January' For Toys!... UPDATE: He Failed.

"I wanted to start 2024 with a challenge!" said Tyler, a collector from Kentucky. A lot of people do 'Dry January', which originally involves not drinking alcohol for the entire month of January (which is usually followed by 'Drunk February' and 'Hangover March'). Tyler decided to do his own version of it with toys, with a simple set of rules. ToyFarce sat down with him for an interview on Jan 3rd.

"The whole point is to challenge myself, and also save a bit of money." said Tyler. "From Jan 1st to Jan 31st, I will not buy, pre-order or trade a single action figure. Right now, I do not have any pre-order that will come out in January, so it's entirely doable. I know it's a dangerous bet, since I could be missing out on some surprise drops by my favorite brands, or rare items being available for a short window of time, but I believe I have the mental strength to do it. I can always figure out a way to backtrack those items on Feb 1st, when the clock hits midnight!".

We wish Tyler the best of luck with his challenge, and we will get back to him in February to see how it went.

UPDATE: He failed. On January 4th, Tyler contacted us to say that he pre-ordered the new Marvel Legends Angel figure, which is totally understandable... Better luck next year!
