ToyFarce News: Missed Opportunity - The Batman Forever Wave Could Have Has A "Chase" Chase Meridian Figure!

This week, McFarlane Toys released a promo picture of the upcoming DC Multiverse Batman Forever wave. The wave includes 4 figures (Batman, Robin, Two-Face and the Riddler), along with the Nightmare Bat 'Collect-to-build' figure. McFarlane Toys is also known for doing lots of 'chase' figures (or Platinum Edition, or Gold Label, or whatever it is called this month...). So imagine our disappointment when there wasn't even a 'chase' figure in that wave, from a movie where there is an actual character whose first name is Chase! ToyFarce investigated...

"This will go down as one of the biggest missed opportunity in toy history" said a toy expert/historian to ToyFarce. "Not only would having a Dr. Chase Meridian figure be great for this wave, but having a "Chase Chase" would have brought a whole new level of meta to the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse line!"

Chase2

"People would have been looking all over for that Chase Chase, even if just to have a Nicole Kidman figure to put in your AMC Theaters diorama, to recreate the amazing commercials!" he added. "A shame, really..."

One can only hope that this article gets the same attention as the leaked Batman Forever/Batman & Robin waves from 3 years ago, so that we can get the flirtatious blonde criminal psychologist that works as a consultant for the GCPD on our shelves!

More news at 11:00... "By the way, do you have a first name or do I just call you Bats?"

yeah and a useful sculpt for McFarlane, could re-use the body for Lois Lane, there's all these Superman figures and no Lois

Exactly! Good Lois figure is long overdue.

I've been collecting comic figures for 25 years and I still only have two Lois Lane figures in my collection, and they're both from DC Direct. I have the Silver Age version to go along with Jimmy Olsen and Perry White that they did at the same time. I also have the DC Direct figure of Lois as Superwoman from the story where Clark gifted her his powers for one day. They're both 1/10th (7") scale so they've always been a little bigger than I like since most of my collection is 1/12th (6"). The Silver Age version isn't quite as overly big as the Superwoman version is. Both would likely scale better with the McFarlane line than they do with the Mattel line that I still strongly prefer.

I've got a modern version kitbash that I made using a WWE Elite Stacy Kiebler skirt suit body and a head that I honestly don't remember from what.

Regardless hopefully we'll get a new proper Lois in the not too distant future. I'd love to have a Dr. Chase Meridian as well.

They never make Lois. Even the animated Lois was incredibly hard to find and was in a two pack.

That would be actually cool and would be useful as civilian figure too for head swaps.

I really wanted a Dr. Chase figure.

I have no interest in the rest of the wave (other than the Batmobile), but I certainly would have bought a Nicole Kidman Dr. Chase Meridian figure!
