It's
Wednesday and you know what that means:
ToyFarce review!
This week, we're having a look at the
Nosferatu - Ultimate Count Orlok (Black and White) Figure from
NECA. It's
December 25th, which can only mean one thing: the new
Nosferatu movie by
Robert Eggers is finally out! (
I don't think there was anything else going on today anyway...). To get in the mood, let's check the latest
Nosferatu figure from
NECA, the black and white version, which was available during the
Target Fall Geek-Out a couple of months ago.
The packaging is very nice, with the
Count's face on the front and collage of pictures of the figure on the back. I really enjoy the variants of the boxes for the black and white figures, with alternate posters or pictures.
Count Orlok, as portrayed by
Max Schreck in 1922, comes with
3 different head sculpts,
4 pairs of hands, a
whip, a
feathered hat and a very nice
soft goods cloak. Just like the
NECA Universal Monsters figures before it, this figure belongs in a museum! It looks amazing, like it was taken right out of the screen, in all its glorious creepiness.
I was really looking forward for this one, since I only got the black and white versions of the
Universal Monsters figures, I wanted to get a black and white
Count Orlok as well, and it did not disappoint. This figure is a delight to pose, looks awesome and will compliment any horror figure collection. The
soft goods cloak is wired and is very easy to pose. The heads and hands are easy to change. An awesome job from NECA. This made me look forward even more for the new movie, and also the inevitable NECA figure that will come of it after that.
Now I realize I should have taken a pic with the
Star Wars: The Black Series figure of
the Client from
the Mandalorian (Werner Herzog), since he did direct a very nice adaptation of the movie...
