Christmas nearly got delayed this year when
Santa Claus, the world's most reliable gift-giver, made headlines for an
uncharacteristic delay in his toy delivery schedule. Reports indicate that the jolly old man was spotted lingering a bit too long at a collector's shelf, marveling at the
Fresh Monkey Fiction "
Naughty or Nice Collection" action figures of...
himself?
ToyFarce investigated...
Eyewitnesses (
well, a very confused dog and an Elf on the Shelf) reported that
Santa had just slid down the chimney of a toy collector's home when he came face-to-face with the incredible array of figures depicting his likeness. From the
Classic Santa to the hilarious
Sgt. Santa and even the slightly ominous
Zombie Santa, the display seemed to strike a chord with good ol'
Saint Nick.
"
Oh, would you look at that! They even nailed the twinkle in my eye!"
Santa muttered, as he picked up one of the figures and inspected the craftsmanship. "
Do you know how rare it is to see a good sculpt of myself? Let's be honest, most of those department store ornaments don't do me justice! I wonder if Mrs. Claus would let me keep the Krampus figure on the mantle..."
The delay began to spiral out of control when
Santa decided to pose the figures for "
just one quick pic" (
We all know oh so well how it usually goes...). Sources close to the incident say he spent an unprecedented amount of time swapping out accessories and trying out various dynamic poses. The collector's
NECA Street Diorama was also reportedly "
borrowed" for an elaborate photoshoot, featuring the
Barbarian Santa figure battling it out with the
Mall Santa figure.
Fresh Monkey Fiction responded to the event with a statement: "
We are honored to have our figures admired by the big man himself. We might even release a special '2024 Santa Photo Shoot Edition' figure, with interchangeable hands, mini figures, a small diorama and a camera, to commemorate this historic moment. Stay tuned!"
