Anything from Ramen toys? They were supposed to have three zero ready to roll for this.

Ramen is there. You can see a lot of pictures of their booth on their Facebook.

I hope fresh monkey fiction and big bad toy shop make more Kiloworgs! I did manage to pick up the Dracula but man, he seems small to me. It's in the scale as advertised though.

But why put them out then?

Look, I really dislike Super7 and won't rant about it here, but I don't know if they deserve any sympathy. They put out their DnD figures almost immediately after Hasbro finished the core children. And they started a G.I. Joe Ultimate line well after Hasbro had already pivoted the Classified line away from Blackout designs (and certainly WAY after Classified was announced). Both were really dumb decisions (or bad contracts they signed). The Super7 Sheila is super cute (and has a better head than Hasbro), so I'm glad I have her. And I do like the Super7 animated Scarlett from the Joe line (although I have nothing to display her with), but these are just weird lines to have ever existed.

Their intention was initially for Ultimates to be their version of Reaction & Funko Pop models....multiple licenses under a somewhat broad yet unified parameter (initially 7 inch MOTU classics style that evolved from there).

Personally i thought the misstep was making Transformers right after red series and the random 2001 Space Odyssey wave (cool but, what?). And I suppose Disney & Simpsons as well.

As far as Hasbro stuff, Super 7 did manage to get animation looks before them. So i guess that's something. And like i mentioned before, I think they got a raw deal with DnD.

You already have universal monsters figures.

But I don't have THESE universal monsters figures!

Is that Once a Man an EE exclusive then, or..?

They did come out after but, Brian had actually been teasing a "brain melting" (his words)80s line that never got a toyline a year or so before the Hasbro DnD figures were even announced.

I dont think its terribly difficult to deduce that he was referring to DnD. And also fair (imo) to speculate that Hasbro probably made them hold off until they got theirs out first.

If what Flynn stated in a Veebs! Interview a few weeks ago is still true than these will be the final two Ultimates figures. He said Classified killed their line just like Hasbro D&D animated killed their D&D line. Tiamet will be the final release there. The only way wed get a wave 2 would be if Tiamet stimulated sales of wave 1.

What a crappy way to close out the Joes line. They canceled the Red Laser from last year so my Red Jackel and Action Force Baroness are missing their leader.

Red Laser wasn't canceled. He came out, albeit a bit later than expected.

That doesnt matter. Why pay $55+ each for something that may never be finished (like Simpsons having no main cast released 4 waves deep which is almost $1,000) when you can get the entire main cast and bad guy for clearance prices. Those didnt articulate very good but who cares when they look nice in a dedicated display? You can also invest in Super7s Tiamet since that scales better and both looks perfect and will probably never be made again.

I'd agree on both points. Theres also the fact that the animated DnD characters are quite young (with Hank being the oldest at 15) and so the Hasbro figures can kind of scale with Neca's DnD figures as well.
