I really like these 60th anniversary figs. Any chance these will be at Ross or discounted by the end of the year?
I think Hasbro is missing a real opportunity with their 60th Anniversary line because so far what they have released look like any other modern "Classified" figure. I wish they used their "Anniversary" to evoke nostalgia and would have revisited the look of the original classic 12-Inch figures and have made them now as 6-inch classified figures where the faces, uniforms and packaging would've looked like the old school soldiers (Army, Marine, Navy, Air Force) figures from the 1960s as well as the "Adventure Team" figures from the 1970's. I attached a photo of various vintage GI Joe images to explain what I mean. They would be an easy sell to older collectors to find these vintage looking figures in new 6-inch form and would also serve as a historical introduction for the younger collector. Oh well, here's hoping that Hasbro expands in this direction to celebrate the 60th Anniversary.
The cloth matireal looks bad
I dont care much for the poncho on this. It takes away from any cool sculpting the figure may have. That said, the vested look on the back of the box looks much better. The inclusion of dog tags is cool.
