oh man how do I even begin it's a little bit complicated. Well you already know how to sculpt so that's a plus, first you need to get yourself a ruler since you'll be measuring a lot. Making sure everything will fit with each other once they transform (I really feel like an engineer with all the measuring). I suggest making a blue print 1st that includes the measurement. Next grab your self a styrene plastic and you build from that mixed with some sculpting compound.
