This week's TNI Cool Custom is of Custom GI Joe vs. Transformers style
S.N.A.K.E. 2.0 armor by Joe Amaro.
Here is how Joe describes the making of it:
Based on the design in the G.I. Joe vs. Transformers comic. The entire top part is poseable. The cockpit opens up and fits any G.I. Joe figure.
Everything but the arms was made with Styrene.
The arms are from the Darth Vader Transformer.
For the stickers I made print outs and used spray glue to stick them in place.
For the pilot I repainted a helmet and added the chest piece from an AT-AT driver. The tech guys have modified heads with sculpted hats. I made a mold and made casts.
The loading bridge was also made from Styrene. Actually made from the scraps I had left over.
I reworked Josh Blaylock's logo design from the comic and used it for my S.N.A.K.E. I just incorporated the two logos a little bit better.
