Frankly speaking, I don't have a proper tool or airbrush for applying paints to my custom figures since I only make one or two custom figures a year as a hobby.
Although acrylic-style paints are recommended, I only use Tamiya spray cans on top of primer (Mr. Surface 1200 from Mr. Hobby) to avoid leaving brush mark.
Once the paints are completely dried I use matt coating spray to cover up the pearl glossy affect. This is my secret.
This is great work, congratulations! If you don't mind my asking, what paints do you use? The finish is so good that at first I thought the base figure was a store bought Doomsday

I might make one in a smaller scale by using different figure as a base.
