This week's TNI Cool Custom is of 6" Scale New 52 Doomsday figure. This customs were done by
Batman55.
Here is how he describes making of it.
"Today, I present you with The New 52 Doomsday custom figure. It was made from the same recipe, MS Avengers Hulk and Ultimate Hulk's casted head, as last Doomsday I made a year ago. For this custom, I invested most of the time in reconstructing his muscular anatomy. It was a painstaking work but once I got through the first layer of his raw skin texture, attaching the rest of bones and tusks followed without a hitch. Overall, this monstrous beast took me over a month to complete and I'm pleased how it came out. Any comments or criticisms are welcome."

Thanks.
Frankly speaking, I don't have a proper tool or airbrush for applying paints to my custom figures since I only make one or two custom figures a year as a hobby.
Although acrylic-style paints are recommended, I only use Tamiya spray cans on top of primer (Mr. Surface 1200 from Mr. Hobby) to avoid leaving brush mark.
Once the paints are completely dried I use matt coating spray to cover up the pearl glossy affect. This is my secret.
This is great work, congratulations! If you don't mind my asking, what paints do you use? The finish is so good that at first I thought the base figure was a store bought Doomsday
Thanks. Chances of making another classic version is low at this time.
I might make one in a smaller scale by using different figure as a base.
Awesome work, what are the odds of you making another classic style doomsday figure?
