This week's TNI Cool Custom Of The Week was done by BrotherShane, who has created a custom G.I.Joe
Cobra B.A.T.. Here is how he describes the creation of it.
"Parts used:
Head - B.A.T. v3 (modified with Tamiya epoxy putty)
Neck - B.A.T. v4
Torso - B.A.T. v4 (modified with Tamiya epoxy putty)
Upper Arms - B.A.T. v4
Lower Left Arm - B.A.T. v3
Waist - Sand Viper v1
Legs - B.A.T. v3 (modified with Epoxy Putty/various parts)
Cobra Insignia from ReproLabels.com
Weapon Attachments - B.A.T. v3
Paints - Tamiya Paints (Acrylic): Flat Black and Flat Yellow; Testor's Model Master Acryl (Acrylic): Aluminum and various blue and red paint washes for chest area.
I wanted to make a custom B.A.T. to look like the original figure from 1986. I modified the B.A.T.'s (v3) head with Tamiya epoxy putty. This was my first time using any exopy putty besides Plumber's epoxy putty from Lowe's, I must say what an improvement! So much longer working time.
For his torso, I dremelled and used epoxy putty on a B.A.T. v4 torso. For the legs, I used B.A.T. v3 and used exopy putty, a gun holtser and part of a black communication device.
I primed everything with a flat white base coat, using Krylon Flat White spray paint. For the weapon arm attachments, I cut from from the B.A.T. v4 attachments and the claw attachment from a 6" Batman figure's batcuffs."
