Mattel Q&A For December 15, 2009

by Jay Cochran
December 16, 2009
TNI: We have heard rumors that a Ghostbusters 6" figure box set of some type is in the works, maybe with all unslimed versions of the team? Can you give us any more details on this, the expected price, or when it might be available?

Mattel: Ghostbusters figures will continue to be released as single figures about every other month on There are no plans for a box set at this time. The next figure will be Winston on Dec 15th!

TNI: Have you considered doing some type of Collect and Connect Stay Puff Marshmallow Man figure for this line or even a 12" version?

Mattel: We are looking into ways of doing a Stay Puff but not as a Collect and Connect figure. Stay tuned for more details!

TNI: The re-issue of your MOTUC He-Man figure sold out pretty fast. Any plans to re-release this one again for a third time?

Mattel: Yes, we will most likely release standard He-Man again, but not for a little while. We have a new He-Man in Battle Armor coming to January 15th.

TNI: You mentioned you would be selling cases of DCUC starting with wave 11 figures on your website soon. Are there any plans to sell these as individual figures, or will these waves only be sold in cases online?

Mattel: Figures will only be sold as wave case packs on starting with Wave 11.

TNI: Since you are going to release a new Batte Cat figure for the MOTUC line, can we expect to see a Cringer figure released sometime in the future? Maybe as a pack-in?

Mattel: Cringer would be tough since he would be a 100% tool and there are lot of other characters that are 100% tools that we want to get to first like Ram Man or King Hssss. It is possible we could do Cringer in time, but nothing in the cards right now.

We will be sending in our next round of questions to Mattel on January 2, 2010 and will get them back with answers by January 15, 2010. If you would like to post questions for us to possibly send in to Mattel for the next round, CLICK HERE.
