DC Multiverse Target Exclusive Batman Year 2 Figure Delayed Again

September 24, 2021
In what seems to be coming a weekly Friday occurrence, Target this morning sent me an updated arrival date for the DC Multiverse Target Exclusive Batman Year 2 figure from McFarlane Toys. Now they are saying October 8, 2021. I continue to treat these dates with a grain of salt as this is the third time now they have moved the date. Come next Friday I could see them delaying it again so we will just have to wait and see.

Man, I don't care about the figure or the base or anything else . . . I JUST DESPERATELY NEED THAT CAPE for a custom project. *sigh*

Love the colors and headsculpt but not feeling the proportions on the figure overall.

Yea. I agree the colors are very nice.

I am hoping for regular release as well. I love the storyarc, and the figure looks just amazing

Any chance they'd put the figure out as a regular release without the elaborate cape and cemetery base?

I would say 100% chance. McFarlane will never pass up a chance to do a reissue/repaint. Now whether it will be a single release or a two-pack remains to be seen. I expect a color change, with a plastic cape.

Nice Headsculpt and a cool cape still not sure about the body though. Really wish Mcfarlane and Neca would stop using the soft "diaper" overlay.

Shown below via Asoka the Geek are in-hand images for the new DC Designer Edition Batman Year Two 7" figure from McFarlane Toys which is being released as a Target exclusive. The figure has the cemetery base as well as the hard plastic stylized cape and the soft-goods one. Target has had some issues with this one having canceled many of the initial pre-orders for it. The figure is currently sold out but has periodically been re-listed since it originally went up weeks ago. It's still not know when the figure will see actual release. This one was provided by McFarlane Toys for review purposes.

Yeah he looks awesome and after many delays and one stupid cancellation out of nowhere just to re-preorder him again, I can't wait to have this definitive Blue and grey classic-ish Batman in hand. Probably one of the best looking in the McFarlane line-up.

Ya target is terrible, I ordered on day one as soon as it went up and it got canceled but I was able to pre order it again. Then last week it got canceled AGAIN but like last time I checked the site, and it was available for pre order... so now this is the third time so far So good, but going by track record i think Target is going to screw me.

Man I think this is the best Batman Mcfarlane has done. I was iffy on the cloth cape, but it looks great! It really sucks my pre-order got cancelled!
