With many of you heading out later tonight or tomorrow to do your Black Friday shopping, we thought would throw out some suggestions for cool toys you might want to keep an eye out for, either for yourself or that action figure collector both young and old in your life. These items aren't necessarily things you will find on sale this weekend, but still would make for nice gifts for under the tree and shouldn't be terribly difficult to track down.

First up is the Marvel Masterworks Sentinel figure from Hasbro. It stands about 16 inches tall, lights up, and says phrases. It also includes a 3.75" Marvel Universe Wolverine figure. This bad boy costs $49.99 and your best bet at finding it is Toys R' Us stores.

Our next suggestion is for Transformer fans. It's the Transformers Dark of the Moon Action Figure - Ultimate Optimus Prime toy from Hasbro. This toy features lights and sounds and converts to truck vehicle mode and back again! It comes with a trailer that converts to the Omega Combat Armor that features extending wings, an Ultimate Super Cannon that flips into place, and extending energy collection panels. This one can be found at most major retailers and costs in the neighborhood of $55-$60.

If you are a fan of ThunderCats then we suggest you take a look at the new Deluxe Thundertank Vehicle with Snarf figure. Now you can reenact scenes from the new ThunderCats animated series with this new toy from Bandai. It comes with a 4" figure of Snarf which features an embedded magnet called ThunderLynx that can be used to activate unique features such as lights and the distinctive "ThunderCats, Hooo!" sound. You can also launch two ThunderRacers and set off Lion-O’s voice that says "ThunderTank Launch!" This one can also be found at most major retailers except for Target stores and costs $29.99.

For G.I.Joe fans we suggest you take a look at the new Sky Striker Jet with Ace figure. Based on the real-life F-14 Tomcat, this toy is a nice updated version of the classic G.I.Joe toy released in the 80's. It holds one figure in the cockpit and comes with a number of removable missiles and has retractable landing gear. This one will cost you between $35 and $40. You should be able to find it at most major retailers but will likely cost you a little more at Toys R' Us stores.

For wrestling fans we suggest you take a look at the WWE Colossal Crashdown Arena Playset from Mattel. The largest FlexForce play set yet features a RAW-themed ring with scenes from popular matches and a huge, elevated 18-inch collapsible superstructure. You can recreate an over-the-top title match by crashing through the ceiling and grabbing the WWE Championship belt before the arena collapses. Available at most major retailers this set will cost around $39.00, however Kmart is currently running a sale on it for $29.99.

Star Wars fans should check out the Toys R' Us exclusive Death Star Trench Run Set. The set includes a newly designed X-Wing Fighter vehicle and a re-release of the TIE Advanced fighter. It also comes with figures of Darth Vader, Luke X-Wing Gear & R2-D2. The packaging is made to re-create the famous Death Star trench battle scene from Star Wars: A New Hope. The normal cost of the set is $99.99. TRU had been running a sale on this item for $79.99 which was supposed to end on 11/23, but it might be worth checking stores to see if you can still pick it up at that price.

This next one is an online exclusive to etailer Big Bad Toy Store. It's the GI Joe Slaughter's Marauders & Dreadnoks 7-packs. You can buy the sets separately for $50 each or buy them together for $89.99. Containing updated versions of classic G.I.Joe characters that have been in high-demand from collectors for some time, this one will make for a great present under the tree come Christmas morning. The Dreadnok set contains figures of Road Pig, Zanzibar, Gnawgahyde, Burn Out, Zanya, Thrasher and Zandar. The Slaughter's Marauders set includes Spirit, Red Dog, Mercenary (Mercer), Falcon, Low Light, Barbeque and Bull (Taurus).

Video game fans may want to check out the new 4" Mortal Kombat figures based on characters from the 9th video game installment in the series. There is a Scorpion and Sub-Zero figure and each comes with over 15 points of articulation from Jazwares Inc. Look for these at Toys R' Us stores with a cost of $9.99 each.

Lego and Star Wars fans alike will want to check out the new Star Wars Millennium Falcon Lego set (7965). Straight from the Death Star escape scene of Episode IV: A New Hope, the all-new LEGO Millennium Falcon features stunning details, like hull plates that open to reveal a detailed interior, twin flick missiles, rotating quad laser cannons and detachable cockpit cover. Featuring Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, Ben Kenobi, Princess Leia Organa and Darth Vader mini-figures. The set contains 1,254 pieces. You should be able to find it at most major retails and will cost you $149.99.

Our last suggestion for you is admittedly geared more for a younger crowd, though I know a few older folks who might be interested in it as well. Its the Fisher-Price Imaginext Batcave Playset. Equipped with all sorts of gadgetry, the Fisher-Price DC Super Friends Imaginext Batcave is the perfect place for crime-fighting. It has a mechanical claw to work on the Batcycle, a secret entrance, a turnstile, a telescope and more. All you have to do is turn your Batman figure on the disk to reveal or activate them. Plus, there's a Bat Signal that really lights up and a launcher that lets you fire projectiles at the enemy. This one should be available at all major retailers and will cost about $55.

Also since we know it can get confusing, here is a breakdown of opening Black Friday times for some of the major retails that carry these products.
