Elkridge, MD-It was the year without a Santa Claus... Just like the Rankin Bass classic, Christmas is saved and the long anticipated action figures of The Year Without A Santa Claus are on their way to a retail store near you.
The Musicland Group (Suncoast, Sam Goody, Media Play), who holds a master merchandise license for The Year Without a Santa Claus (licensed by Warner Bros. Consumer Products), contracted multiple manufacturers to produce a variety of goods, and Palisades was chosen to make the action figures and PVC figurines. The product breakdown:
Boxed Sets (3-packs): Heat Miser, Mrs. Claus and Jingle Belle are in one set, Snow Miser, Santa Claus and Jangle Belle are in the other.
PVC Boxed Set: The PVC figurines are packaged in a boxed set which holds all 11 of the PVC figurines. That set includes Iggy, Dog Catcher, the Mayor, Mother Nature, Vixen, Jingle Belle, Jangle Belle, Heat Miser, Snow Miser, Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus.
Blister Carded (2-packs): Sam Goody, one of the Musicland family of stores carrying the line, has 2-pack versions on a blister card, made up of Snow Miser/Jingle, Heat Miser/Jangle and Santa/Mrs. Claus. The figures and figurines are available for pre-order NOW through
