Savage Dragon Artist Proof Bust Now Shipping From Moore

by Jay Cochran
April 28, 2005

The latest collaboration between Image Comics Publisher and Savage Dragon Creator Erik Larsen and Sculptor Clayburn Moore is now in stores.

The original Savage Dragon bust sold out immediately when it was produced by Moore in 2003. This Artist Proof edition of the bust sports added sculpted elements such as a torn shirt and a police shield on the base. A battle-bloodied paint scheme and a Certificate or Authenticity signed by Larsen and Moore with a dedicated drawing by Larsen round out this very limited collector's item.

Savage Dragon, known for fast action and a sardonic dose of wry humor, is the longest-running single artist/writer comic book currently published at over 120 issues.

Moore and Larsen have also collaborated on such projects as the Savage Dragon Statue and the Savage Dragon Pewter statuette. A full statue of the gorgeous green skinned She Dragon is slated for release late this fall.
