Silver Age Batgirl and Batwoman

Here is a look at DC Direct's upcoming Silver Age Batgirl and Batwoman set. Sculpted by Karen Palinko, this set is based on the characters of Batgirl and Batwoman from the late 50's and 60's. Each figure will come with a purse and the set will also include a Batmite and Ace the Bathound figure along with a interconecting rooftop base that connects with previous Silver Age Batman sets. Look for the Silver Age Batgirl and Batwoman to be released in August 2003.

Kathy Kane debuted as Batwoman in Detective Comics #233 back in July 1956. Betty Kane discovered her Aunt Kathy was Batwoman and joined her as Batgirl in Batman #139 in April 1961. The two often teamed up with Batman and Robin to help fight crime in Gotham City.
