Jerome may just get the last laugh after all...
Gotham's executive producer told
Zap2It that we haven't seen the last of Jerome and this is only the beginning.
“It is 100% our intention to bring Jerome back,” “We’re going to be playing it again this year and basically extending the idea of the cult of Jerome,” Stephens explains.
“We’re building the architecture for him to come back.”
But don't expect this to happen overnight or in television-terms, one episode. The comeback for Jerome will begin in Season 3 and will stretch into Season 4.
“You’ll have these underground movements that have started to talk about Jerome and what he represented and how he’s going to come back like in the days of John the Baptist.”
“Setting the stage that if there is a Season 4, hopefully we’ll bring that back in a much bigger way and you’ll see these different versions of the Joker myth.”
Stephen does promise a new reintroduction of the chatracter which will be
“fantastic.”
“He plays into the idea of transformation. When he comes back, you want to see that new version,” he says.
“That next step forward.”
