TrekMovie.com posted news that Playmates Toys, the folks who brought tons of Star Trek toys to general retail back in the 90's will again be bringing Trek stuff to toy aisles in the near future. This time, it will be toys based on the upcoming Star Trek movie being directed by J.J. Abrams . No specific details have been revealed, and when we went to the folks at Playmates for confirmation on this rumor, all they could say at on the record was that due to certain disclosure agreements, they could not comment at this time, which seems to indicate that the rumors are true. We may get some type of offical statement from Playmates next month at Toy Fair, which TNI will cover in full.
