These slipped past us at Comic-Con last week but thanks to Mephitsu.co.uk we have looks at the new Star Trek 4.5-inch figures coming from Master Replicas.

From Star Trek: Strange New Worlds they had Spock and Ortegas on display. From the animated series Lower Decks they had Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford and Billups.

Finally for Picard season 3 they had Picard, Riker, Worf, Data and on the last day they showed off their Commodore Geordi La Forge figure. So far these figures have only been made available on the overseas Masterreplicas.com website for $25.99 each.

Nacelles figures look great, but I will honestly be shocked if they make it more than a couple of waves. I really appreciate what they tried to do with their character selection, but they swung WAY too hard into the off the wall character selection.

I love that we finally get a Nog, but does anyone out there want both Worf and Data in old timey sailing uniforms, before we actually get them in, you know, Starfleet uniforms?

On the one hand, I feel like Nacelle is my only chance to get characters like Helen Noel, Dehner, J. Dax in a duty uniform, or Seven of Nine in something other than her first appearance outfit. But on the other hand, I don't know who is going to buy enough of these first waves to keep this line going. I hope that TOS bridge crew sells like hot cakes. Because the rest of these are just WTF?

Seeing the SDCC coverage, I only wish *more* that Nacelle's line had the rights to modern Trek so they could do them justice...

while it's nice to see figures FROM Picard, what's not nice is the price. $26 a pop, and shipping $8 or more depending on number of figures, plus they are non-retail so they control the single point of distribution. And they are 4.5" (like the 90s TREK playmates figures) for the price most others change for 6" figures. pass.

also why does Riker look like Cobb Vanth?, he was bigger in Picard no?

When I first glanced at it, I thought that Riker was Captain Shaw. Either way it's not great...

Love to see more Trek stuff for the collectors, but my my I can't say I'd be happy if I was a Trekkie Collector, the proportions on these are wonky

always happy to see more stuff for the people who might collect these but, I don't think these look that great, also that Toony stuff just looks out of place.

As a Trek collector, I couldn't give a rat's ass about Picard and Discovery and even Strange New Worlds (I generally like the show, but I don't need figures or other collectibles from it). I have some EXO-6 Lower Decks figures, which are basically just 7" plastic statues with swappable limbs and heads, but they look way better than these. I'm genuinely surprised these all look as cruddy as they do. I get that they're 4.5" scale, which isn't the best scale for high quality details and such, but I remember when Master Replicas made highly detailed and very detailed prop replicas. I guess a lot has changed in between MR shutting down some years ago and the brand being resurrected recently.

They might not be able to make ships because it could clash with Fanhome's licensing.

I expect that's going to depend on the scale and material used. They may well be able to do something bigger like the Playmates or DST ships or smaller like the old Hot Wheels starships. I wouldn't hold my breath either way, though.

I mean, to be honest, these figures don't really look that great, PLUS the first releases are all characters that feature in one of the worst eras of Star Trek, lol. If they would have released a ship, or even a playset accessory that could have made up for the weak character roster, then maybe I would have dipped...

They might not be able to make ships because it could clash with Fanhome's licensing.
