Diamond Select Toys Unveils San Diego Comic Con Guest Of Honor - Nichelle Nichols

Diamond Select Toys & Collectibles, LLC (DST) has announced their guest of honor for this summer’s San Diego Comic Con – Star Trek legend Nichelle Nichols! Costar of the original Star Trek series, Nichols portrayed Lieutenant Uhura, the only female bridge officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise, for three seasons and seven feature films.

Beginning July 19th and continuing through July 23rd, the 2006 San Diego Comic Con is held in San Diego, California and last year drew more than 100,000 attendees. Diamond Select Toys will feature Nichelle Nicholas at their booth on Saturday, July 22nd from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The DST “Mirror, Mirror” Uhura, McCoy, Chekov and Sulu action figures will be offered for the first time during this convention, with a free autograph ticket and a promotional Marlena Moreau action figure offered to fans who purchase all four exclusive figures. All five action figures were sculpted by Art Asylum and include multiple points of articulation with episode-specific accessories.
