UPDATE: Mattel had no information on Masters of the Universe Classics or the status of Snake Mountain at the Powercon Mattel panel. The one thing they did confirm though was that the She-Ra figure will be the only Masters of the Universe Classic exclusive offered at San Diego Comic Con this year.
Today kicks off the first day of the 2016 PowerCon Masters of the Universe convention which is taking place in Los Angles, CA. Pixel-Dan sends us images of the Mattel table which has on display the
recently announced 2016 San Diego Comic Con exclusive 11" She-Ra figure. The figure will cost $75 and feature 24 points of articulation, rooted hair, 3 iconic fashions (please note only 1 pair of gold boots is included), 2 swords, signature shield, 6 interchangeable hands, a logo stand, and a 12-page mini comic: “The Story of She-Ra!,” and a beautiful keepsake box with vivid imagery from the enchanting worlds of Etheria and Eternia! Wage epic battle with She-Ra against the Evil Horde for the honor of Grayskull! This product will be available for pre-order at MattyCollector.com on June 16, 2016 for subscribers only (Early Access), and from June 17 through June 25 for everyone else (All Access). Orders must be picked up in person at San Diego Comic-Con. Products will also be available for purchase at the convention.
Dan tells us that the only representatives from Mattel currently on-hand at the convention this morning are folks from the Monster High Doll division who designed this She-Ra figure. There will be a Masters of the Universe themed panel with Mattel later today which we believe the Four Horsemen will be attending. It is unclear if they will be revealing any new information about the Masters of the Universe line or giving an update on the status of the Snake Mountain playset which has been rumored to be canceled. We will be sure to post any updates from the convention as they become available. For now check out the new images for the She-Ra figure below.
