Alien 40th Anniversary Collection Ripley 7" Figure From NECA

by Jay Cochran
February 01, 2020
NECA yesterday released official images for their upcoming Alien 40th Anniversary Collection Ripley figure. While primarily a re-release, this figure does have some improvements that have been made to it. The figure includes the Motion Detector, flamethrower, Cat Carrier, and a new Jonesy for accessories. The figure also includes a new digitally printed face deco. Check out the images below.

This figure should be released in the first wave of 40th Anniversary figures which will be released exclusively at Target stores. Wave 2 and 3 of this line is said to be released at other retailers. Presumably wave 2 will be at Walmart and wave 3 at various etailers.

Kane looks quite good. The Walmart thing...well, that's not so good.

NECA has released updated images for their third wave of Alien 40th Anniversary figures which includes figures of Kane, Ash and a another Big Chap, which I believe we are seeing for the first time. I don't know what is different about this one. This wave will be released exclusively at Walmart stores.

Naw, I'm good with the current version I have. Not enough in this offering to spring for an updated one. Bring on the rest of the crew!

So looks like NECA is going to be offering these three different series at various retail stores. So like series one is Target, and looks like Walmart will be a place for one of the other assortments and then the third may be offered through the specialty market.

Those faces are looking awesome between this and the reveal last year. Can't wait to see the whole crew together.
