Stand corrected it was Kirk from Generations that will be part of their second wave of Star Trek figures.

That's pretty cool I must say. Thanks for sharing.

It all looks really good, but the character/version choices are very odd

The Mattel MOTU x Thundercats line, are the parts interchangeable to make them look like classic Thundercats? If so then I'll definitely be picking those up!!!

Will the Star Trek figures from Nacelle be available from other retailers?

Yeah, I wanna know that, too. I would assume so, since BBTS carries their Expanse figures and other lines, and Entertainment Earth carries Biker Mice from Mars, but there doesn't seem to be any info yet either way. Since Toyfair is a trade show, and was the official debut of these figures, it's entirely possible BBTS and other retailers just made deals with Nacelle over the weekend, and it may be a bit before we see anything about that.

At the very lest, Nacelle seem to know this going in and are planning accordingly. From the launch last year and the interviews I've seen at Toy Fair, I do think they're pivoting a bit to highlight main cast in subsequent waves, but they've always said this approach was to hit the b and c-list characters who never get figures first to show their commitment so I'm sure their expectations are set accordingly as to how much this line will sell. I do think they're really good looking figures, so this can be a good way to ramp up their skills, reputation and interest in the line before getting to the big sellers. I think the key will be to preorder to show support, though.

Yeah, I won't be preordering Tuvix to show support for anything, sorry.

I only just recently finished it and am still hyped over it, so if Nacelle would have started out this line with a majority of Picard season 3 characters, I would have been all in - Jack Crusher, Captain Shaw, Geordie's cute daughter, Captain 7, old Data, etc.

The Secret Hideout era falls under Master Replica's license and they're going with the Playmates 5-inch scale format for them, which is a shame as I'd love to see the Nacelle team have a go with them if this is the quality they're bringing.

Can We admit that Nacelle out of left field, absolutely knocked it out of the park with their Trek stuff. I can't speak for anyone else but they came out of nowhere.

Agreed. The figures look quality, some cool accessories and a very reasonable price point.

I do wish we could see them compared to other lines so we could get the exact scale here - I know they said 1:12, but that's still a flexible statement. I had kinda hoped they'd work with the old DST/Art Asylum figures, but if it's a pure 6-inch more in line with Star Wars Black Series or Marvel Legends, then that won't work and we'll have to see what they do with the promised A-listers in wave 3 onwards.

While I love the idea of a 6-inch scale Star Trek action figure line and these look good, I'm only an old school fan of the timeless original series & Next Gen. So until they get around to Kirk/Shatner, Spock/Nimoy and the rest of the originals, I'll be sitting out and patiently waiting. I don't even know most of these obscure characters in this first wave and I don't know how strong a market there would be for them but I think Nacelle is certainly taking a big risk and leap of faith that they will sell enough to carry the line forward. Otherwise, I can see this line falling short (like many of the previously attempted & abandoned Trek lines) when the sales of obscure characters become weak and they don't reach producing or releasing the original series crew that folks like me will be waiting for.

McFarlane Toys during the last day of the New York Toy Fair decided to give us a look at their new line of 7" Mortal Kombat Klassic figures. Shown are Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden, Liu Kang and Mileena.

If there was ever a line meant for McFarlane with their love of repaints, MK is it! I do wish they were doing MK9 and letting Jada do classic MK - I just think the companies respective aesthetics would suit those sections of the franchise better.

Nacelle's license doesn't let them do anything from newer Trek shows or movies.
