HILLSIDE, NJ - May 13, 2005 - NECA, the National Entertainment Collectibles Association, today announced a new licensing agreement with Capcom to create action figures based on characters from the hit survival horror videogame, Resident Evil 4. Now available for the Nintendo GameCube, Resident Evil 4 sees the return of a familiar hero on a mission of the highest level. The Resident Evil series has sold more than 26 million units worldwide.

"Capcom is pleased to work with NECA, a market leading action figure maker that truly understands the horror genre," stated Hiroshi Tobisawa, president, Capcom Entertainment. "We look forward to seeing the characters from our highly acclaimed Resident Evil 4 game come to life as NECA unveils the first series of these figures."

"It is an incredible honor to be chosen by Capcom to create a line of figures representing the definitive horror game. Capcom has created a game that has blurred the lines between cinema and gaming. We are very fortunate to work with our generation's theatrical visionaries, and we feel that this opportunity bolsters our lineup of products. We look forward to creating a 3-D toy universe worthy of their brilliance," said NECA President, Joel Weinshanker.

The first prototypes of the Resident Evil 4 action figures will be on display in a showcase at the Capcom booth at the 11th annual Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles from May 18 to May 20. The first series of action figures is expected to hit shelves in November.
