Ware has the distinction of being one of the top five defensive players in the league, and also anchors the defense of “America’s Team”. Coming out of Troy University in 2005, Ware was selected by the Cowboys with the 11th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, and lofty expectations were placed upon him. Thankfully for the city of Dallas, he has not disappointed. In his seven seasons Ware has led the league in sacks twice (2008, 2010), and has recorded six straight seasons of eleven plus sacks (only four players have had more consecutive seasons).

In the annual NFL Top 100, conducted at the end of each season, Ware was ranked by players as the leagues’ best pass rusher, linebacker, and the second best defensive player in the league. Ware has started off his eighth season with a bang, recording two sacks on Eli Manning in the opening game for 2012. With these two sacks Ware became the 2nd fastest player (113 games) to reach 100 sacks, behind NFL Hall of Famer Reggie White (96 games), becoming just the 29th player in NFL history to reach 100 or more sacks.
