Todd McFarlane Teases DC Multiverse The Suicide Squad Movie King Shark Figure, But Wait There Is More

Last week Warner Bros. dropped the first trailer for the new James Gunn directed The Suicide Squad movie.

This weekend Todd McFarlane then teased folks on social media asking people to raise their hands if they wanted a new DC Multiverse figure based on King Shark from the movie. This was a play on the scene in the trailer where King Shark raises his hand up and lets everyone in the room know it's his hand.

Of course those who have been paying attention to the news already know such a figure is coming, in fact two versions. Back in early February we first brought you word of these figures which started going up for pre-order overseas.

For those who missed it, there is going to be a wave of figures being released from the movie which includes Harley Quinn, Bloodsport, Polka-Dot Man, and the John Cene character Peacemaker. The Build-A-Figure for the wave will be King Shark.

There have also been indications a second version of King Shark will be released as part of the Gold Label collection which here in the US means will be a Walmart exclusive. Look for unmasked versions of Bloodsport and Peacemaker to also be released. It's unclear if those will be general released or store exclusives.

The Suicide Squad movie is slated for released on August 6, 2021 in both theaters and HBO Max.

I loved how crazy King Shark looks, but I'm not crazy about buying all the others to build him since they're not in my collecting scale.

The King shark and Injustice Dr. Fate are the coolest things listed here, I gotta say I;m looking forward to what Todd does with those figures. I now want to see them get at making a Weasel figure that could be fun.

Hmm, I still remember when the figures from the first film came to the woolworth where I used to work, even after my contract ended the figures were still there.

I'm definitely in for Dr. Fate!  I'll probably get a Peace Maker just for the oddity of having a John Cena action figure that's not WWE.  Other than that, I'll wait to see if Suicide Squad actually wows me enough to want toys from it.

King shark will be cool, so will be Harley Quinn in her new outfit that looks great, but others I dont care much, would prefer comics version more. Good to see them doing Dr. Fate. But kinda concerned with McFarlane doing variant for every figure that has possibility of Unmasked version, but I guess it works in case of red hood

We now live in a world with a Polka Dot Man figure, and I'm here for it!
