Kind of want to get a Manhunter to make a custom 7" Magneto figure. Or maybe Onslaught.....

There were players who were released only as chases and others who may have well as been, because it was a player in a specific team uniform (often a former team) where there was no regular version released. Want that player or that specific version? Good luck! Todd does it to generate "buzz", and because he has the (often-incorrect) notion that it adds "fun" to collecting. For a few, perhaps. For many, no.
Yeah it might generate a little buzz, but I don't rank the exclusive versions of exclusives and such as fun.
ssssssooooo let's take a army build figure...and make it the chase. Yeah that makes ALOT of sense smh
Can't wait to see the New 52 Cyborg.

That's how they do, even they need to do exclusives LOL

And isn't this like one of the very few army builders that even exist in the DC multiverse line? I was wanting to pick up a couple but If they are super hard to find there's no point in even trying, it would be a waste of time.
As a DC Multiverse completist, I find these very frustrating. Trying to keep up with all of the regular releases, exclusives, and chase variants is becoming a full time job. I'm kinda sorta hoping that the license doesn't get renewed after 2025.

Just typical McFarlane thing ....
It's an interesting way to market for Todd but he is treating his DC multiverse line like a comic book series with limited edition figures included with the regular releases which are already hard to find. I'm not a fan of this concept but it is Todd's trademark so we just have to try and get what we want.
Yeah, it's safe to say that really makes me mad. I'd definitely buy Sportsmaster and at least two Manhunter robots if I could find them. This kind of nonsense is infuriating and it might just be enough to get me to quit this line if those two figures are too hard to find or too expensive one the secondary market.
I've bought at least one version of every distinct character that this line has put out so far against my better judgement, as I still strongly prefer the Mattel DC Universe Classics line which I have almost all of. The increase to the larger 7" scale almost made me not buy any to begin with, but these types of shenanigans might just be the nail in the coffin for me.
It's unlikely that too many of these will ever even hit the sales floor of the retail establishments that they're meant for once people are aware of the demand. It won't surprise me at all if these become $200 figures on the secondary market almost immediately.
