That Batwing looks nice but $149 is a lot and my Bat credit card is under lock and key because of an unexpected Batmobile repair bill.

I have to say that the more I see of the Maxie Zeus figure, the more impressed I am with McFarlane's BTAS sculpting designers. Both Condiment King & especially Lock-Up were well done. Maxie Zeus may be the best of the group so far, IMO. The photos of the Bruce Wayne B-A-F doesn't really thrill me, but I'm sure it will be a big seller. I'd guess that wave will be out about three months after Maxie Zeus is released in October, hopefully.

I gotta question why some of you guys are so dismissive of the "Ohh I gotta buy these figures for the build-a-figure" when Hasbro has been doing that with Marvel Legends for a decade now.

Also, 25$ is amazing value for most of these figures, even with truncated accessories, when you consider that it is downright impossible to get the late wave DC Collectibles versions for a good price anymore. I know, I have tried for years. I was sadly, late to collecting them, as at the time I made a pact with myself to sell all my old Kenner DCAU toys before I started collecting another toyline next to Transformers and D&D minis... That sadly resulted in me only managing to get the last wave from BBTS and a few exclusives like the Batman Beyond set and the Batmobile with Batsignal.

From this lineup alone - TAS Two-Face is probably the most expensive figure from the DC Collectibles line alongside TAS Scarecrow. I have never seen one go under 200$, especially when MOSC, but even loose ones go for 180-200$.

TAS Batgirl is also super rare, while you can grab TNBA Batgirl for around 40-50$, TAS Batgirl goes for 120$ usually.

Christmas Joker isn't as rare as the others, but he too is an 50-60$ value figure.

Overall, even if you have the original figures, you can just sell them and keep the build-a-figure parts. I have so far, sold all my surplus ones but Jim Gordon, each for 26$. (I only needed Scarecrow from wave 1 and Blind as a Bat Batman and trenchcoat Phantasm movie Joker from wave 2. )

I definitely would have done $50 each for just Maxie Zeus, Condiment King and Lock-Up instead of paying $100 for each of those waves and not wanting a single one of those other 12 figures. At $75, I'd probably still go ahead and buy the full wave for $100 and try to recoup some costs selling the other other figures. At $50 I wouldn't bother and just buy only the figure that I wanted in the first place.

I meant at $75 each figure and not have any waves. I can't imagine these waves have a large print run.

What's sad is if he offered the BAF figures at $75 for just those figures I'd bite. People would complain.....but when don't they?

Watch McFarlane release one more and then do a box set with all these build-a-figures a year from now. I mean, probably not, but nightmare scenario for the people who are buying all these extra figures that are just unwanted and unnecessary. Picked up Two-Face and Batgirl, and though I'd love to have a Maxie Zeus in my collection (that episode is underrated) I'm not paying an extra $50 for it on things that don't appeal to me in the slightest.

I'm angry with myself for continuing to play Todd's game of buying 4 figures that I don't want just to get the one that I do. I did it for Condiment King and Lock-Up and now I'm doing it for Maxie Zeus. I'm so weak. No interest in any of the other stuff being offered today. I bought that Batwing when it was first offered by DC Direct / DC Collectibles years ago and I've still never opened it.
