*DC Multiverse core item MSRP is now $24.99 > Due to the 20% tariffs imposed on imports from China to the United States, some of our products will see price increases effective immediately. We have worked hard to minimize the impact and have limited these adjustments to only certain items. As always, our priority is to bring fans the best products at the most affordable prices possible. We appreciate your continued support and understanding.
Holy crap guys, check BigBadToyStore, they've already raised prices on figures that are already out, Batman Begins Batman and the Justice League Task Force wave have gone up from 22.99 to 25.99. is that allowed? What the hell?!
Edit: Okay, in hindsight I'm pretty sure the Task Force wave was already 25.99, but Begins I'm pretty sure was 22.99 before today, so my point stands

That's what I'm feeling too. We already pay more due to being smaller markets, but significant unwarranted price increases due to tariffs that shouldn't affect us will *really* kill the market here beyond the absolute hardcores.
LOL! Are we surprised? They take every opportunity to raise prices. They are constantly manipulating stock. McFarlane is on record for stating he likes his figures selling for $$$ on the secondary market. I'm honestly done with this. Welcome, Mattel. The downside is buying them will get much tougher

Also, there won't be a way back from this, even if tariffs gonna be lifted at some point. A lot of people is going to drop the mic which is inevitable, and while I believe that collecting should be an option for everyone, it's gonna be a habit of a few soon. To the ones who still in the game: good luck!
When Mattel took the license back from Super7, Masterverse/MOTUC figures went from $25 a figure (Mattel's last prices) to 19.99. There is some hope. But it's just a glimmer.

All the toy companies will put their prices up as a result of this - it's inevitable, companies don't absorb cost, they pass it on and they'll *all* do it - but for those of us who shouldn't be directly affected by these things since the tariffs don't apply to us, I'm concerned we'll get caught up in it regardless...

No surprise. Just hoping something good happens to change this whole situation (not referring to just toys/collectibles) for the better without hurting too many people.

That's how I remember it.

When Hasbro pushed prices up during COVID, they discovered they lost sales. That's why they've been relatively flat for a few years. The mods might remember better, but I'm pretty sure they talked in an annual report that they believed they had overestimated demand post-COVID.
